The 10th Prophet in the History of Mormonism

Some May know what the 10th Prophet in the history of Mormonism is. Some may not. To state, the 10th Prophet in the history of Mormonism was Joseph Fielding Smith. Joseph Fielding Smith's birthday was July 19, 1876. His dad was Joseph Fielding Smith Sr., but I'll only refer to the Prophet Joseph Fielding Smith. Joseph Served a 2 year mission to England starting in 1899, but before that he received his Patriarchal Blessing. In his Patriarchal Blessing it mentioned that, "It shall be thy duty to sit in counsel with thy brethren and to preside among the people." It basically infers of him becoming a Prophet of the Church. My Patriarchal blessing mentions, "You will receive additional authority and power within the Priesthood." My Dad supposes that it just talks about becoming a High Priest, but two of my Bishops, a Stake President and one of my counselors from my current ward feel it's more than that. Maybe not as drastic, or even as drastic as a Quorum of the 12/70, but maybe still a counselor, or Bishop. That came True later of course. Joseph got married three times, but at separate times. He got married to the next once the previous died. The first woman he married was Louie E. Shurtliff. She died in 1908 so later in 1908 he got married to Ethel G. Reynolds. She perished on September 26, 1937. His final wife was Jessie Ella Evans and got married in April of 1938. She died about a half year before President Smith. Some other matters of service Joseph gave were for three relations of a Church historian, being the president on the Genealogical Society, and being the President of the Salt Lake Temple. Joseph got to become an Apostle on April 7, 1910. I will mention Joseph Fielding Smith Sr. one more time. He got ordain Joseph Fielding Smith Jr. as an Apostle. Later in 1970 Joseph Fielding Smith became President of the Church. While President he assigned Mondays for being the night of Family Home Evening. Another item that happened while President of the Church is that the Church organized three of the Church magazines. Joseph Fielding Smith Dedicated the Ogden Temple and the Provo temple both in 1972 the same year in which he died. The precise date of the year was July 2.
A quote of him is, "We must endure to the end; . . . We must so live as to acquire the attributes of godliness and become the kind of people who can enjoy the glory and wonders of the celestial kingdom."
A testimony as well is, "I pray that we may all be guided by the power of the Holy Spirit, that we may walk uprightly before the Lord, and that we may inherit eternal life in the mansions and kingdoms that are prepared for the obedient."

David O. McKay got to be the 9th Prophet and President in the history of Mormonism. David O. McKay was born on August 8th, 1873 in Huntsville Utah. David got to be the class president when he went to the University of Utah. David O. McKay was of the Mormonism faction his whole life and went on one mission. This mission was to Great Britain. He later married Emma Ray Riggs on January 2, 1901. He still had other service opportunities than his mission such as a church commissioner of education and some others. One of the jobs David O. McKay did was being the principal of the Weber State Academy. David O. McKay became an apostle on April 9, 1906. He later became the second counselor to two prophets. Heber J. Grant and George Albert Smith. Then he became the president of the Quorum of the 12. In 1951 David O. McKay was ordained Prophet, Seer, and Revelator, and President of the Church. President McKay Dedicated 5 temples and BYU Hawaii. On January 18, 1970 at the age of 96 President David O. McKay met his death in Salt Lake City Utah.
A really great quote I found from him is, "Every member a missionary!" This is still told in general conference. A testimony from him as well is, "The gospel, the glad tidings of great joy, is the true guide to mankind; and that man or woman is happiest and most content who lives nearest to its teaching, which are the antitheses of hatred, persecution, tyranny, domination, injustice-things which foster tribulation, destruction, and death throughout the world. What the sun in the heavenly blue is to the earth struggling to get free from winters grip, so the gospel of Jesus Christ is to the sorrowing souls yearning for something higher and better than mankind has yet found on earth.

The History of Mormonism, George Albert Smith

This post is going to be about George Albert Smith. George Albert Smith was the 8th President of the LDS faith in the history of Mormonism. George Albert Smith got born on April 4, 1870. He was born to Sarah Farr, and John Henry Smith. George Albert Smith got a job at the adolescent age of 13, this happening in 1883. Smith got married to Lucy Emily Woodruff on May 25, 1892. Lucy died on my birthday in month + day - year. Geroge Albert Smith on the other hand died on his own birthday, April 4, 1951 causing it to be his 81st birthday. George Albert Smith became an apostle on October 8, 1903 at the age of 33. Then on May 21, 1945 at the age of 75 became President of the Church in the history of Mormonism. He got to dedicate the Idaho Falls Temple along with a monument. This monument being the This is the Place Monument

A testimony that he gave was, "The Savior died that we might live. He overcame death and the grave and holds out to all who obey His teachings the hope of a glorious resurrection."

A great quote as well is, "I wonder sometimes if we realized the importance of music. I wonder if we know that the Lord Himself is concerned about it. He has given us the information that the song of praise is a prayer unto Hum. In our day He has given revelation about music. He gave instruction that Emma Smith was to gather the hymns that were to be sung in the Church."

Heber J. Grant of the History of Mormonism

I'm going to start off differently on how I talk about Heber J. Grant of the history of Mormonism.
I'll start off with talking about my favorite quote that I could find. It is: "If there is only one thing that will bring peace and contentment into the human hear, and into the family, it is to live within our means. And if there is any one thing that is grinding and discouraging and disheartening, it is to have debts and obligations that one cannot meet." On this it's with today's public, or at least with what was today's public. They were getting credit cards and going into debt like crazy then filing bankruptcy. some still filed due to lack of funds as a general, but credit cards assisted. You can still relate it to non-money matters.
Heber J. Grant was the 7th President of the history of Mormonism and was born on November 11th, 1856 in Salt Lake City Utah. His Parents were Jedediah M. and Rachel Ridgeway Ivins, Grant. 9 Days later on the 20th his dad died. In 1871 Heber J. Grant was called to be part of the Quorum of the 70. Later in 1882 got ordained into the Quorum of the 12, 1916 became president of the 12, and then on November 23, 1918 got ordained as Prophet by those of Mormonism. Heber J. Grant got to serve a few missions with one of them being in Japan. Then he also toured western Europe. He got to go to 2 church sponsored exhibits that happened at world fairs. They happened at San Francisco and Chicago. Heber J. Grant in April of 1936 created the Church Welfare Program. It was called the Church Security Plan when it was initially created though.
Heber J. Grant got to Dedicate 3 Temples. These temples contained The Cardston Alberta Temple of Canada in 1923, the Laie Hawaii Temple of U.S. in 1919, and the Mesa Arizona Temple in the USA in the year 1927.
A testimony in which he gave is, "I do not have the language at my command to express the gratitude to God for this knowledge that I possess. Time and time again my heart has been melted, my eyes have wept tears of gratitude for the knowledge that He lives and that this gospel called Mormonism is in very deed the plan of life and salvation, that it is in very deed the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ."
